What Have They Seen in Your House?

King Hezekiah was sick and near death, and he was told by the Lord to set his house in order (2 Kings 20:1).  But he prayed to the Lord, and then word came to him from Isaiah the prophet that the Lord will heal him.  The king of Babylon, having heard that he was sick, sent men and letters and a gift to Hezekiah.  The Bible says that Hezekiah listened to those men “and showed them all the house of his treasures – the silver and gold, the spices and precious ointment, and all his armory – all that was found among his treasures. There was nothing in his house or in all his dominion that Hezekiah did not show them” (20:13).  Isaiah questioned Hezekiah about his reception of these men, and he then asks Hezekiah, “What have they seen in your house?” (20:15).
