WHAT IS THE CHURCH OF CHRIST?
The church of Christ is the church of the New Testament:
- The church is part of God's original plan of salvation for man through Jesus Christ and is the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 1:3-4...19-23
- The church was purchased by, built by, and belongs to Jesus Christ. It is organized and functions the way He determined, as described in the New Testament. Matthew 16:16-18, Acts 20:28, 1 Timothy 3:15
- The church, the one body of Christ with Him alone as the head, consists of obedient Christians. It has no founder other than Jesus nor headquarters other than Heaven. Ephesians 1:22-23, Ephesians 4:4, Colossians 1:18
- The individual members have followed the will of the Lord in order to receive salvation from their sins and are now in Christ, added by the Lord. Acts 2:47
